Intransitive Verb In Hindi | Intransitive Verb Meaning In Hindi

1. In an intransitive verb, the action is confined to the subject only, it is not passed over to the object.
   Intransitive verb मैं action कर्ता तक ही सीमित रहता है, object पर pass over नहीं होता।

Example – उदाहरण

He sleeps in the bed. वह बिस्तर में सोता है।

Shivam speaks loudly. शिवम जोर से बोलता है।

• In the above sentence, the words ‘sleeps’ and ‘speaks’ are intransitive verbs, in which the action is limited to the subject. Action has not been passed over the object. There is nothing and no one for that action to happen to—the action is complete on its own.
  उपरोक्त वाक्य में ‘Sleeps’ और ‘Speaks’ शब्द अकर्मक क्रिया हैं, जिनमें क्रिया कर्ता तक ही सीमित है। Object पर pass over नहीं की गई है।

2. The verb is intransitive if a word or words in the sentence doesn’t answer any question such as “Who or what did the action of the verb happen to?”
   सामान्यता यदि verbs में ‘ क्या‘ या ‘ किसको‘ प्रश्न करने पर यदि हमें कोई उत्तर प्राप्त नहीं होता है, तो वह verb, intransitive verb है।

Example – उदाहरण

“I can’t believe our dog ran away.” (What did the dog run away? Nothing, there is no object receiving the action of “ran away”.) “मुझे विश्वास नहीं हो रहा है कि हमारा कुत्ता भाग गया।” (कुत्ता क्या भाग गया) प्रश्न को करने पर हमें कोई उत्तर प्राप्त नहीं हो रहा।

“There was a lot of dust in the air, which made me sneeze.” (What did I sneeze? Nothing, there is no object receiving the action of a sneeze.) “हवा में बहुत धूल थी, जिससे मुझे छींक आई।” (मैंने क्या छींका?) प्रश्न को करने पर हमें कोई उत्तर प्राप्त नहीं हो रहा।

“Don’t be too loud while the baby sleeps.” (What did the baby sleep? Nothing, there is no object receiving the action of sleeps.) “बच्चे के सोते समय बहुत जोर से न बोलें।” (बच्चा क्या सो गया?) प्रश्न को करने पर हमें कोई उत्तर प्राप्त नहीं हो रहा।

6. She grew quickly.
   वह तेजी से बढ़ी।
   
7. We talked all night.
   हमने पूरी रात बात की।
8. Her phone rang loudly.
   उसका फोन जोर से बज उठा।
   
9. They are playing soccer.
   वे सॉकर खेल रहे हैं।
10. Neha was coughing loudly.
    नेहा जोर जोर से खांस रही थी।
