Transitive Verb In Hindi

• Such verbs with which an object is used are called transitive verbs. Transitive means to pass over i.e the action is not only limited to the subject but can be passed over an object.
  ऐसी verbs जिनके साथ object प्रयुक्त हो, transitive verbs कहलाते है। Transitive का अर्थ है passing over अर्थात जिन verbs मैं action कर्ता तक ही सीमित नहीं रह कर object ( किसी अन्य वस्तु) पर pass over होता है । जैसे:

Example – उदाहरण

Ramesh hits a ball. रमेश ने गेंद को मारा।

He rings the bell. वह घंटी बजाता है।

• In the above sentence, the words hits and rings are transitive verbs, in which the action is not limited to the subject, but has been passed over the object (ball and bell)
  यहां hits एवं rings, transitive verb किस तरह प्रयुक्त हुई है जिनमें action करता तक ही सीमित नहीं रहा है बल्कि object ball एवं bell पर pass over हुआ है।

Intransitive Verb In Hindi

• In an intransitive verb, the action is confined to the subject only, it is not passed over to the object.
  Intransitive verb मैं action कर्ता तक ही सीमित रहता है, object पर pass over नहीं होता।

Example – उदाहरण

He sleeps in the bed. वह बिस्तर में सोता है।

Shivam speaks loudly. शिवम जोर से बोलता है।

• In the above sentence, the words ‘sleeps’ and ‘speaks’ are intransitive verbs, in which the action is limited to the subject. Action has not been passed over the object. There is nothing and no one for that action to happen to—the action is complete on its own.
  उपरोक्त वाक्य में ‘Sleeps’ और ‘Speaks’ शब्द अकर्मक क्रिया हैं, जिनमें क्रिया कर्ता तक ही सीमित है। Object पर pass over नहीं की गई है।

   रजत ने अपने गृहनगर से आम भेजे।
2. The teacher addressed the student’s question.
   शिक्षक ने छात्र के प्रश्न का समाधान किया।
3. Rohini left the car keys on the table.
   रोहिणी ने कार की चाबी टेबल पर छोड़ दी।
4. My mother took me to the hill station for my birthday.
   मेरी मां मुझे मेरे जन्मदिन पर हिल स्टेशन ले गईं।
5. Neha washed the dishes after dinner.
   नेहा ने खाना खाने के बाद बर्तन धोए।

Intransitive Verb Examples

1. We slept together feeling the warmth of each other.
   हम एक-दूसरे की गर्माहट को महसूस करते हुए साथ-साथ सोते थे।
   
2. We went to many places together.
   हम एक साथ कई जगह गए।
   
3. We dreamt of many things together.
   हमने एक साथ कई चीजों का सपना देखा।
   
4. Don’t just sit there idly.
   वहाँ आलस्य से मत बैठो।
   
5. The river flows furiously at this time of the year.
   वर्ष के इस समय नदी उग्र रूप से बहती है।
